Crochet is coming in a big way!
Susan Lutz Kenyon has joined our staff, and will be developing the crochet program for us. Susan is a founding member of the Crochet Guild of America, a certified teacher, and a total crochet enthusiast. We are so fortunate to have her.
Lessons began on June 24, and will run in 4-week sessions.
Thunder on the Plains !
We're partnering with the Prairie Croissant Cafe to provide a fun and educational evening with Laura Hedien, whose amazing shorm photos you have seen in the store. This event is Sunday, June 29, beginning at 7 PM, and will be held at the Cafe. Beverages and organic noshes will be available. As soon as it's dark enough, Laura will do a presentation on how these awesome (and often awesomely destructive) storm systems develop.
Laura knows of what she speaks. She is officially a storm tracker, with an associate's degree in metereology. She's also a member of the Navy Reserves (just back from two weeks of active duty on a humanitarian mission in Africa), an EMT, and a crime scene photographer. (We suspect she has a clone, and that neither of them ever sleeps!)
